Synopsis:
The story is set in today's day and age. Billu (Irrfan Khan) plays a village barber. His business is running low because he has not been able to upgrade himself according to the changing trends.One fine day, a film unit visits his village to shoot a movie. It stars a superstar, Sahir Khan (Shahrukh Khan), who Billu claims to have been friends with. All at once, Billu's status in the village changes, and he becomes highly respected.Everyone wants him to meet the superstar through Billu. But Billu is unsure, as he feels he cannot compare to the superstar's status. Besides, he fears that the star may not recognize him. He makes many attempts to meet the star but fails.After all these hardships, he gives up. The villages believe he lied about the relationship with the star and insult him. His family and children also get upset and badmouth him. In a twist towards the end, the true extent of the friendship Billu and the superstar is revealed.

Fiza narrates the story of a sister's (Karisma Kapoor)single-minded search of a missing brother.It also dwells on how the search affects the socio-political and religious favour of the land. Jaya Bachchan is a widow and mother of Karisma Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan. Karisma Kapoor loves Bikram Saluja while Hrithik Roshan is in love with Neha. A riot breaks out between the religious groups and Hrithik dissapears. People believe that he is dead. Karisma Kapoor feels that he is alive and starts searching for him. In the process she encoutners strong opposition from both the religious groups who want to exploit Karisma for political reasons. Later she discovers that Hrithik is alive and joined a group of terrorist lead by Murad Khan. He does not want to return as he had killed some people while saving his life and he feels that he would not get justice. But on Karisma's insistence, he returns home. He does not get a job and Neha gets married. He returns back and finds out that Murad Khan is also using him. He does not want to get killed either by the police or the terrorist, hence he asks Karisma to eliminate him.

Synopsis :
Sanjay (Uday Chopra) and Ria (Bipasha Basu) are close friends who share the same apartment. Although there is some infatuation between them, they believe that a boy and a girl can stay together as friends, without love coming into the picture. But Sanjay is a whimsical guy who doesn't trust his own feelings.
Things go topsy-turvy for Sanjay after he receives a call from his childhood friend Anjali (Sanjana), who invites him to her marriage. Suddenly he is unsure of his feelings for Ria. Thanks to a little prodding from Ria, it suddenly dawns on Sanjay that he has been in love with Anjali all his life.
This realization dawns on him just in the nick of time. Being a go-getter by nature, Sanjay packs his bags and sets off to Anjali's house with the noble (or the contrary) mission of breaking up her marriage.
The film then strays into "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" mode with Sanju doing everything to win the love and affection of Anjali's family comprising pampering mom-dad (Neena Kulkarni and Alok Nath), a loving grandmother (Dina Pathak), a Vastu-Shastra freak aunt (Bindu) and a pessimist uncle (Saurabh Shukla).
Anjali's groom-to-be is handsome and suave Rohit (Jimmy Shergill). A doctor by profession, Rohit is a good-hearted fellow who has the makings of an ideal husband.
Sanjay hatches a plan to tarnish Rohit's reputation in Anjali's eyes. He invites Rohit to a party where he makes his small-time friend (Shamita Shetty) flirt with Rohit. When Anjali finds her hubby-to-be cuddling in the arms of a bimbo, all her hopes are shattered.
Rohit too is no bum, and soon realizes that Sanjay is bent upon deliberately belittling him before Anjali and her family. He confronts Sanjay. Ultimately the duo decides to leave the final decision to choose one of them to Anjali. Now the question is, whom will Anjali choose?

They all live in the hope that someday Tahaan's father, who's been missing for over three years, will return. The death of his grandfather leads the local moneylender Lalaji and his manager Kuka (Rahul Khanna) to take away the assets of the family, including their pet donkey Birbal, against repayment of a pending loan. Now, life for Tahaan, his mother and sister takes a turn towards rougher pastures. For Tahaan, bringing his favourite donkey Birbal back home becomes the sole purpose in life. After various efforts at money-making, Tahaan approaches Lalaji with the prospect of regaining his lost asset but is devastated to learn that an old man Subhan Darr (Anupam Kher) has bought Birbal and taken him across the mountains… the same mountains from where Tahaan's father never returned. But Tahaan sums up courage and chases after Subhan. The prophetic old man doesn't befriend Tahaan at first sight but slowly warms up to this energetic and determined soul whose love for Birbal is paramount. But at the end of the journey, Tahaan is further disheartened when Subhan gifts Birbal to his orphaned eight-year-old nephew, and even the long-time helper of Subhan called Zafar (Rahul Bose), cannot be of any assistance to poor Tahaan. On his way back home, Tahaan finally encounters a teenage lad Idrees, who convinces him that his efforts would never be sufficient to get Birbal back. Instead, he promises to get Birbal back for a favour. All Tahaan will have to do is carry a package across the mountains on his next journey. Seeing Tahaan's eagerness, Idrees hands him a grenade. He tells him that when the time is right he will be told what is to be done. Tahaan sets off on his second journey with Subhan and Zafar, the grenade and package tucked away under Birbal's saddle. What is the price that Tahaan will have to pay for Birbal? And how far will he go to save his only meaning in life? Tahaan is now at a crossroad where his ultimate decision would determine his fate… "Will he get Birbal back?"

SYNOPSIS:
Based on true incidents, a south Indian Hindu man falls in love with a Muslim woman--taboo in the small village from which they hail. They marry against family wishes and move to Mumbai, where he works as a reporter for a large daily newspaper. Eventually, the couple has twin boys. The rest of the film is set during the December 1992-January 1993 period when the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid controversy raised religious tension in Mumbai and other parts of India, which sparked rioting and violence. The couple is separated from their children, and the fathers of both parents are killed when their home is burned by rioters. A reporter is shown interviewing politicians from both factions as well as the police. An underlying moral of thinking of oneself as an Indian rather than a Hindu or a Muslim is prevalent throughout the latter part of the film. The family is finally reunited after much searching through hospitals, morgues, and shelters. But the violence has left indelible impressions in the minds of the children.
